FEZ Collection is a new answer to the trend of sustainability. We surround ourselves with so much clutter these days, we’re up to our necks in stuff that has no value and doesn’t tell a story. What’s the point of producing so much rubbish? I personally love having things around me that carry meaning; products that show the love and artisanship they’re made with.
Globalisation has robbed countries of their own identities. The capitalist west is having most of its products made in low-wage nations. This often throwaway stuff receives ample social media promotion, making you feel like you have no choice but to purchase it, which in turn results in overconsumption.
More and more people want products that tell a story, that are produced in a fair way, which you get lifelong use out of. Morocco is a country that emphasises artisanship, and I find their shapes, colours and atmosphere appealing. FEZ Collection tells a story revolving around love and artisanship.
