Consumer society has inspired me to make a coffee table book about something we hate to see and want to be rid of: waste.
Rubbish is everywhere. Things lose their value the moment they’re discarded. It’s no big revelation that we need to change our consumer habits. And it’s a good thing that we’re getting more aware of the issue, and that we’re talking about ways to make a change. But we still have a long way to go.
Trashure has been developed for Brabantia in order to reach a new target group and raise awareness. Inspiring people to take another look, instead of buying something new. Trashure gives new value to the things that have lost their sheen and promotes consciousness of the amount of waste we produce. Trashure shows the beautiful side of something ugly.
