Dear Black Men

My fascination for my own Surinamese heritage and the BLM movement has served as a source of inspiration for this concept, which is meant to empower people of colour.

Dear Black Men is about prejudices held against black men. The goal is to expose and refute them. This is my way of empowering black men. I’ve drawn inspiration from the Congo Sapeurs along with the cultural movement of Afrofuturism.

Designed with Millennials and Generation Z in mind, the campaign was made for Daily Paper and Omroep Zwart and will be launched during Black History Month. This campaign will help ensure BLM stays a relevant topic, and enable us to share stories, inspire each other, and admire each other.
