People are a marvel. They are my greatest source of inspiration. Everybody is unique, yet everybody has so much in common; it’s endlessly fascinating.
On the first sunny day in April, all of Amsterdam decided the time had come to go to the park. Having spent the whole winter inside because of the coronavirus, we were more eager than ever to leave the house. Everyone was quickly satisfied. Sitting barefoot on the grass and picnic blankets was like being transported back to the Vondelpark of the sixties.
Thinking forward to the future, how will we look back at this period? The campaign “Atelier des Femmes” is about the summer of ‘21. With the sun in the sky and temperatures on the rise, it’s finally time to go outside again. The summer of ‘21 is a literal breath of fresh air. We’d been deprived of so much, now we can enjoy the little things even more intensely. The story is related by a woman looking back at this unforgettable summer.
