SHIFT FOCUS

The coronavirus crisis turned our lives upside down and demanded a lot from our resilience. In one fell swoop, we went from acceleration to stillness. Social obligations fell away and full agendas emptied. We got a taste of a quiet life, without obligations. A huge reset.

In the trend forecast 'SHIFT FOCUS', I discuss three slow living trends that have arisen from the insights of this time. I developed this trend book for the independent slow-lifestyle magazine Kinfolk, as inspiration for the brand's magazines, books, art prints and online media. The three trend stories 'DISAPPEAR IN COMFORT', 'ENGULFED IN THE MOMENT' and 'IMMERSE IN NATURE' are translated into colour, shape and material in the trend book.
